Student Instructor Program - “formally known as Cadet” (age 14 -18) will learn indispensable life skills and begin to see how and why a skilled instructor knows what to teach. You will train with instructors directly and become a mentor to our students.
Participants must be parallel skiers or advanced snowboarders who ski and ride comfortably & confidently everywhere in all conditions.
Participation Requirement:
Online Learning: PSIA-AASI online courses.
On-Snow Training: Participate in hands-on training sessions on the slopes, learning how to teach various techniques, such as turning, stopping, and navigating different terrains.
Shadow and Assist: A significant portion of the training involves shadowing and assisting experienced instructors, provide valuable insights into teaching techniques, lesson planning, and managing different student levels.
